Story
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. This is through a business competition process that involves giving business presentations, and roleplaying business scenarios.

The competition is split into three stages: Districts, States (SCDC), and Internationals (ICDC).
History
Started by original advisor Corey Guerra, Weston DECA has developed into one of the most successful chapters in Massachusetts District Four. In recent years, the program has boomed, becoming the largest club at Weston High School in the process. This had been in part due to the incredible leadership of Ms. Flynn. Our most recent achievements include:
- Two top-20 finishes at ICDC (and one top-10 finish) at ICDC 2024
- Shine Level for MA State Campaign 2024
- Thrive level for ICDC Leadership Academy 2024

Meet Our Advisor
Ms. Kelly Flynn
Since the start of the 2021 school year, Ms. Flynn has served as the head of the business department, and advisor for Weston DECA. Her support and commitment has allowed Weston DECA to flourish into the program it is today, growing the club nearly 200% since she began. Her presentations during club meetings, constant student support, and attendance at all of our competitions has made her an incredible role model for all of our members.
